We had the privilege of designing a highly exclusive seeding box for the limited prototype launch of the ASICS METAFUJI™ 2—the trailblazing shoe Tom Evans wore to capture his legendary victory in Chamonix. Sent to a select group of runners and tastemakers, the tactile, premium package was met with widespread acclaim, capturing the raw, competitive grit of elite trail running.
Inspired by rugged outdoor utility, the design reimagines the classic metallic survival kit. The custom metal container, secured with heavy-duty latches, instantly evokes an authentic survivalist feel.
Upon opening, receivers were greeted by a translucent chalk paper note from Tom Evans himself, layered over an iconic photograph of him celebrating his Chamonix win. Beneath these narrative overlays, the prototype METAFUJI™ 2 rested on a custom riser meticulously finished with a rugged rock texture. Lifting this rocky plateau revealed a hidden compartment containing elite trail essentials: a premium technical t-shirt, high-performance protein bars, and energy gels.
